Meteor + React: what we’ve learned so far

Overview

In this talk, we’ll share what we’ve learned about using React in a Meteor project. We’ll cover the basics and the guiding principles of Meteor and React, and how to combine the power of the two. We’ll also demo some coding examples and discuss some issues that we’ve run into so far.

Speaker bios

Linton Ye is a developer, toolsmith, entrepreneur and lifelong learner. He is a long-time Android developer but recently got attracted into web development. What fascinated him is the incredible set of tools that web developers have at hand. Linton is the founder of jimu Labs, a startup in Victoria. He also built Eclipse plugins and tooling for AspectJ at IBM and University of British Columbia.

Jin Li is a developer, architect at Schneider Electric in Victoria. He has been working on Microsoft .NET platform for a long time. A few years ago, switched to the Javascript world, starting from an Angular JS project, recently worked on some projects using Meteor and React JS. He is always passionate about building great software.
