The NWjs Passage - featuring KoNote + EnigmaDB
We’re going to dive into NWjs (+ rival ElectronJS), and spin up a quick React app that runs off your desktop - sans internet. There’s multiple windows to consider, neat transparency tricks, and lots more more exciting features to extend your apps’ value.
KoNote is a unique NWjs note-taking app designed by David Gotlib MD with behaviour health settings in mind, that fluently collects and organizes patient notes & metrics. It’s currently piloting in 2 major mental health centres, making dramatic improvements in workflow, patient care, and oversight.
With medical records comes security and accountability. EnigmaDB was built for KoNote from scratch, to facilitate needs for high-grade encryption, data revision histories, and storage on a local network with minimal IT involvement.
