VicJS - Stay At Home Edition

Details
So, VicJS used to be held in the Leanpub (Ruboss) office a few years ago, when we hosted most of our meetups. But then we closed our office and Leanpub became a fully-distributed team, and we only held one other meetup event afterward.
But, with basically everyone in the Victoria tech community working from home these days and with all meetups being virtual, not having an office isn't an issue anymore.
So, I thought it might be worth starting VicJS up again, but on Zoom. (Yes, Zoom has had some recent issues, etc. It also has the feature of actually working, however -- so unless there's major pushback, I want to use Zoom.)
If there is interest in reviving VicJS, VicJS could be a useful part of the Victoria tech community, helping people to get to know each other better, and just have a better sense of what interesting people, projects and startups are up to.
The idea for an online version of VicJS would be brief intros, a 20-40 minute talk (usually on something JavaScript-related, or of interest to people doing startups), followed by some discussion.
Since we haven't had a VicJS in a few years, I don't have any talks lined up. But I thought I'd have the first meetup be next Thursday April 23 at 6 PM, regardless of whether anyone proposes a talk. This way, we can test if Zoom works for the format, and gauge the interest, etc.
If you're thinking of doing a talk at a future VicJS, please show up and say hi. Or, if you're interested in doing a talk at this meetup, email me at peter@leanpub.com.
The Zoom meeting info is in the RSVP...
