Rock climbing is a fun way to build fitness and strength. You also gain great movement skills in other areas like technical hiking and scrambling.
The cost to climb at this gym will be around $20, check on their website for latest prices, discounts, conditions etc.

What you need
Comfortable clothes for gym style work out. Water, snacks are a good idea between climbs.
If you have climbing gear like a harness and climbing shoeys as well as a locking carabiner and chalk, bring this otherwise you can hire this gear at the gym. Runners should be OK if you are a beginner but not really recommended. You'll Soon see why.
If you are new to climbing or this gym you'll need to do a safety induction first before you can climb, do allow about 20 minutes for this. This is usually at a very basic level. As a trained and experienced climber I may supplement the safety stuff if you climb with me, my safety standards tend to be higher lol.
Book the induction here

After climbing we can optionally pop over to a pub nearby for a drink or a late snack.
Where to meet
Please be there by 6.30 or earlier if you need to do a safety induction.
I'll post in an event message how to find us or update the description. If you're late it may be impossible to find the group as we don't carry phones when climbing, so send a message to the organiser if this is likely..
Etiquette
No shows are removed from the group. Report to the organiser that you've arrived. If you can't make it, just take yourself off the event before it starts or leave the organiser a message
I hav a cutoff for attendance at 3pm on the day. Please register your intent to attend before then.
