Surrey Video Editing Party

Surrey video editing party! We meet up for a few hours on the weekend at a local pub and edit videos together. We're all given the same files to work with and it's up to us to create something cool.

At the end we'll share what we made and how we made it. This will be a great way to learn from others. Expanding our creativity and also our video editing skills.

What are we going to edit? I'll reach out to a few charities to see if they need any social media videos made for the holidays. We can use them as sources of the projects + they get cool assets made for free.

You don't need to give anyone your files or projects. It's only by choice if you wish.

I'll send you a folder with the video / image assets we'll be playing with.

The rules of the game? Show up and create anything you want. A 15 second vertical video story? A 30 second YouTube short? A 60 second reel? At the end we'll each share what we made and the techniques to make it work.

This will be a fun way to learn from others and meet new people making cool sh!t.

Basically we'll hang out and create things for a few hours. Hopefully learning, laughing and inspiring along the way.

What else are you doing? It's raining out. Come make something with us and eat a few burgers.

What do you need? A laptop (or device) that edits video. Probably a power bank and I also suggest money so you can buy food and drinks.

Skills? Pros are probably too cool and busy to show up. So I assume we'll all be new(er), but just as cool.
