An evening of talks about games and game development.
We will have a two amazing speakers sharing their wisdom. Expect talks to be around 30 minutes long.
Tom Welsh - Write Buddy Cops. Even If They're Not Buddies. Or Cops.
Do you have a buddy in your life? Someone you riff off of effortlessly? The “buddy cop” dynamic is experiencing a mini renaissance in games, movies and TV! But… why? More importantly, HOW can you leverage an “odd couple” pairing of protagonists in your storytelling? Learn how to tell a story your younger-self would wish they heard from someone who brought indie gems like Cloudpunk, Best Served Cold, and Devil Jam!
This will be an expanded version of Tom's fantastic talk at GIGF, so if you weren't able to see it there then this is a great chance to catch it. If you did see it then there will be some extra bits as well as a chance for Q&A.

Fraser Purdie - Responsvie Soundtrack Design with WWise
BAFTA nominated composer Fraser Purdie will showcase his recent work on responsive soundtracks for video games.
Drawing on his long career as a sound designer and composer for film and TV, and more recently for videogames, Fraser will take us through his latest work - a dynamic composition built in WWise. He will discuss how to compose music which adapts to the mood and gameplay and walk us through the process with a live demo.
