48 Hour Film Festival Munich

Details
Make a movie in just 48 hours and find new filmmakers in town!
The 48 Hour Film Project will take place:
Friday, May 23rd at 19:00
until Sunday, May 25th at 19:00.
This is the official time period, and participating teams must complete their film work in time to submit it by Sunday at 19:00.
The final films will be screened on Sunday, May 25th at 19:00 at:
Köşk
Schillerstraße 38, 80336 München
How does it work?
We will announce two randomly selected GENRES on Friday, May 23rd at 19:00 and one common OBJECT/PROP that must be in every film.
You may begin to write your scripts and plan your shoot immediately after the announcement. Time management (when you shoot and edit) is up to each team. Your team needs to find and use their own equipment. None will be provided. Any camera is acceptable. The emphasis for this event is on FUN and COLLABORATION.
You must deliver your finished film on Sunday, May 25th by 19:00 for it to be considered and screened.
There is no time limit for films, but please consider how long we can keep the attention of the audience. The average films are approximately 5 minutes.
Films can be shot in ANY language with English or German subtitles.
How do I find a team?
You can start to create your teams before the event begins.
You will need a group of 4-6 who can help to write, plan, shoot and edit your film. You can also use the 48 Hour Film Festival WhatsApp Group to find your crew members and get the latest updates about the festival. Also this group is here for all to communicate with other participants, share ideas, and support each other throughout the process.
The actual shooting process is all done with your team, so you will need to choose a central meeting place for filming.
You may also want to think of potential shooting locations you have access to that are reachable by everyone ahead of time. It will help to have those places in mind when the genre and object are announced.
Why only teams of 4-6?
Yes, the crew size max is 6 including actors.
The intent is that everyone on the crew works together to collaborate. With a smaller crew, each member gets more hands on experience and often does more than one role — even tries a new one.
Is there an entry fee?
No, this event is free and focused on FUN. There is also no monetary prize. We vote on the Top 3 Films.
