Hike to Kasberg (Upper Austria)

Hi, everyone!

We're heading out on a scenic hike to Kasberg this Thursday (public holiday in Austria). The hike is about 12 km long with about 700 m of elevation gain. Forecast: mostly sunny, up to 20°C in the valley. Bring sunscreen, and protective UV clothing.

🕐 Starting Point:
From Vienna Westbhf take train WB at 07:51, arrive at 09:24 at Linz Hbf.
From Vienna Hbf take train IC 544 at 07:57, arrive at 09:28 at Linz Hbf.

🚙 Carpooling:
09:30 at Linz Main Train Station (Linz Hbf) – we'll be carpooling from there (please sound off in the comments if you need a ride or you can offer a ride).

Around 10:45 at Hochberghaus parking (accessible via Bergstraße Farrenau, costs 15 EUR/car)

🚙 Journey by car:

• 09:30 Meeting at Linz Hbf (outside at the main entrance where the cars pickup/drop-off zone is)
• 10:45 Arrive at Hochberghaus parking
• 👞 Hike (aprox 12km, 700m, 4-5 hours)
• Return as agreed with the drivers after the hike and restaurant Hochberghaus stop

• Take train/bus to arrive at Linz Hbf
• from Vienna Westbhf train WB at 07:51, arrive at 09:24 in Linz
