Book description:
The book, part of the renowned series “Medieval Life”, focuses on the city of Troyes, in France, in the year 1250 A.D. to talk about what it was like to live in a prosperous city in 13th century Europe. The authors describe what was the city government like, how trade worked, and how life was for all different types of people.
This work sweeps away the image of the middle ages as an era of decay and show how Europe was going through a commercial revolution.
