Short Donauinsel bike ride with a detour via the Prater Hauptallee

Our short bike ride offers a varied and scenic tour along the Danube and through some beautiful places in Vienna's 2nd and 22nd districts.

The route starts at the Fahrradverleih Copabeach and leads over the Reichsbrücke towards Prater Hauptallee. There we cycle east along the avenue to the Lusthaus, a well-known meeting place there.

From the Lusthaus we continue towards the south bank of the Danube, where we cycle along the river to the Kraftwerk Freudenau. We then continue to the eastern end of the Donauinsel. Here we make a short break to enjoy the surroundings and take a short break.

After the break, the route leads to the last bridge of the Donauinsel, where we switch to the north bank of the Danube. From there, we cycle along the north bank to the Steinspornbrücke. Finally, we head back from the Steinspornbrücke towards Kaisermühlen and our starting point at the Fahrradverleih Copabeach.

The tour offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy the nature and sights along the Danube and to be active at the same time.
