That magic wand exists and it’s called Beyla! Utilizing eBPF, Beyla can intercept incoming requests and generate traces as well as metrics as if you had instrumented the application yourself. This talk offers an introduction to the Beyla tool and shows you how to utilize it in order to instrument different types of applications.
