Event Sourcing Meetup Vienna – 2nd Meetup

Are you curious about how AI is changing software design, and how we can keep human context at the center?
Whether you’re a developer, architect, or just exploring event-driven and model-based systems, this session is for you.

Event Sourcing Vienna is a community for developers, architects, and curious minds interested in Event Sourcing, CQRS, Domain-driven Design, and event-driven architecture.

🎤 Talk & Live Demo: Software Design in the Age of AI: Keeping Humans (and Context) in the Loop

We set out to improve how we model software systems, starting with a familiar challenge: helping teams understand what they’re actually building.

Our journey began with event modeling and the hope that new tools and techniques could bring clarity, structure, and maybe even automation.
What we found instead were new challenges. Visual modeling didn’t always scale, and AI support came with its own limitations.

But somewhere along the way, we stumbled onto something that worked better for us — and just might work better for others, too.

This talk is a story of trial, learning, and shifting focus — and a glimpse into a new way of thinking about design work in modern software projects, especially when clarity and human context matter most.
