Orange Is the New Blanc

Ready to try something wild, ancient, and very orange? 🍊

Join us for a blind tasting of 8 orange wines from different countries. If you’ve never tried skin-contact white wines before, or if you're already a fan, this is a perfect chance to explore how origin and technique shape these unique wines.

We'll start the afternoon with a light aperitif, then settle in for a guided tasting and a relaxed wine guessing game. As always, we’ll focus on flavor, fun, and discovery—not on being “right.”

This is a warm and friendly gathering primarily for gay men, but allies are more than welcome! We aren’t wine experts or sommeliers—just a group of wine enthusiasts who love to explore and learn more about what’s in our glass.

I’ll be hosting this event in my cozy apartment. Although I’m not a professional sommelier, I do have a degree in winemaking and have tasted over 1200 wines, so I’ll be sharing what I know to make the experience engaging and educational.

What to Expect:

• A welcoming, relaxed environment in my small home setting. My friendly dog will be present, so please be mindful if you have any allergies or are uncomfortable around dogs.
• A blind tasting format with a fun guessing game—no wine knowledge needed!
• An attendee limit of 6 people.
• I’ll provide everything: aperitif, 8 orange wines, snacks, background info, and detailed tasting sheets.
• Shared costs for the evening are €25 per person (cash, Revolut, or bank transfer).

A Few Important Notes:

• The event will be held in English.
• Please RSVP only if you're sure you can attend. I plan the wines and materials based on the final participant list.
• Start time: 15:00 sharp. Please arrive a bit early—we’ll begin once everyone’s present, so we can enjoy the full tasting together.
