Snow Day Nature Trip to Wurzeralm 🎿 (Skiing/snowboarding/hiking)

⛅ Weather:
Current forecast for the day of the trip says sunny weather with -10°C on the mountain, and 0°C in the valley. Some fresh snow is forecasted for the day before the trip.

💪 Activities:
Once we arrive at the winter-resort, we'll rent the equipment (if you don't bring your own), and purchase the cable-car tickets.
We will go up by cable-car to the middle-station. There's also the "Kids area", ideal for beginners, and plenty of restaurants/huts. With the more advanced ones, we'll go all the way to the top. You can also choose to do some snowshoe hiking there.
We'll have lunch break together around noon.
Finally, we can decide together when to leave from the winter-resort, there are buses back with corresponding train connections.

Every participant is responsible for purchasing their own tickets.

Wurzeralm Prices Season 2024/2025 (aprox. 50-60 EUR / day) booking online gives you better prices: "prices are based on a dynamic pricing model that continuously recalculates the prices for winter tickets, adapted to the current situation. The current price is influenced by various factors such as the seasonal phase, the day of the week, the booking date, the current booking statuses or the weather forecast."

You can bring your own equipment, or rent some on the spot. There is 1 rental place with various prices (around 40 to 70 EUR) depending on what you are getting. Booking online might offer you a discount:

✅ Checklist:

• wear waterproof winter jacket & waterproof winter pants;
• wear waterproof winter gloves & long winter socks;
• bring a light beanie to wear under the helmet.
• bring sunglasses/goggles;
• bring some snacks & water for the trip;

🎫 Train tickets / Car pool:
Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own tickets / organizing their journey.
