Title of Talk:
Kafka as a relational database in a web app
Abstract:
It is important to think about where to store what data to make sure it is durable and accurate. Kafka can serve as system of records but should it, and can ACID be guaranteed in Kafka.
We will explore some differences with Kafka compared to a relational database, and some of the challenges when designing event driven systems.
Bio:
Patrik has a background as a .NET developer / architect with a focus on integrations. Before switching to IT, he took the opportunity to fulfill his childhood dream by becoming a high speed train driver.
