PCE / FEMALE EDITION - Philosophic Conversation in English @ LEMON KITCHEN
Details
We will meet at LEMON SUSHI & THAI KITCHEN (Sechsschimmelgasse 7) where we will have a private room reserved for us and sit down at a large table. The restaurant LEMON SUSHI & THAI KITCHEN is famous for its delicious Asian dishes.
At the beginning we will choose a topic to discuss. Everybody can suggest one or more topics. Then we will vote what to discuss. The person who suggested the winning topic will then explain the motivation behind suggesting the topic.
Afterwards you wait for your turn and then you can speak without interruptions with a predefined time limit. After finishing your contribution, the others can ask you questions, in case they did not understand everything properly. Then the next participant gets the right to speak.
After the first part there will be a 10 minutes break. When we start again, we will decide (by voting) either to go on with the same topic for the second part or to switch to the topic with the second or the one with the third most votes.
FEMALE EDITION
In order to encourage female philosophers we will hold our SPECIAL FEMALE EDITION tonight which implies special rules:
1. In case too many topics are suggested, the ones suggested by female philosophers will get priority.
2. Each topic suggested by a female philosopher will receive 20% bonus points in the voting.
3. Every female philosopher will get a free drink of her choice.
4. The most active female philosophers in the discussion will be entitled to choose one of the following "goody bags". (In case two participants are equally active, the one who arrived earlier at the event venu will prevail.)
Goody Bag A: All You Can Eat for free
Goody Bag B: Free Main Course Dish of your Choice
Goody Bag C: Free Dessert of your Choice
Goody Bag D: Free Sweet Sour Soup
(The Goody Bags can be consumed at this event or at one of the following three events.)
You don't have to contribute statements - it is also possible to just listen! Whenever you have the right to speak, you are welcome to do so or you just pass.
You don't need any specific philosophical knowledge to attend. Because of that we don't want participants to refer to specific books or theories (which some other participants might not know). We are interested in your thoughts and your truth!
