Big Data & Linked Data

Everyone is now talking about Hadoop, NoSQL and Big Data. This very technic-centered discussion is all about scalability, performance and the question how to deal with large quanitities of data.

On the other hand "linked data" tackles the question how to make sense of all the large data pools on the web and from the intranet.

It seems to be promising to combine both worlds: In our meetup we will discuss how Big Data & Linked Data technologies could become a perfect match.

This meetup is organized in the spirit of a barcamp (http://www.google.com/?q=what+is+a+barcamp). Each participant will be asked to give a short talk about his/her perspective on 'Big Data/Linked Data'.
