I am gauging interest in a new Daggerheart campaign. I am starting out using the Colossus of the Drylands Framework but if it everyone wants to continue it I will merge it with a new homebrew campaign setting.

Daggerheart is a very fiction first system but my style is a mix of fiction first and tactical combat. You can RP as much or as little as you feel comfortable with and all players new and experienced are welcome as long as you are 18+.

If we continue the campaign you will actively be contributing to the design of the campaign world with your actions and ideas building on the foundation I will design.

We will be using Zoom for communication and either DnD Beyond Maps or Fantasy Grounds for dice rolling and maps.

We will be playing twice a month based on everyone's schedule but I am looking for 3-5 players ages 18+.

The first session will be character creation and if we have time a short intro.

We can also discuss playing in person if it fits everyone's schedule.

SUMMARY
The Drylands are a silent necropolis, a sprawling graveyard of a war so ancient that its name and purpose have dissolved into myth. All that remains are the Colossi: gargantuan, rusted war machines that lie like fossilized titans beneath the shifting sands. In this harsh expanse, life is a brutal commodity. Here is the reality of the Drylands:

### The Political Landscape

The desert is carved into territories ruled by independent barons; warlords who maintain order through the edge of a blade and the barrel of a gun.

  • Totalitarian Rule: Outposts survive at the mercy of a baron’s whim; a single perceived slight can lead to execution.
  • The Triad of Combat: Every scrap of water or fuel is defended by a volatile mix of steel, sorcery, and gunpowder.

### The Faith of the Machine

While the traditional gods are considered a myth, if they ever existed at all, the void of worship has been filled by Colossi Cults.

  • These fanatics revere the ancient war machines as metal deities.
  • Though they lack "divine" backing, their zealotry and dark magic are terrifyingly real. They do not need a god to be deadly.

### The Current Crisis

The fragile status quo of the Drylands has been shattered by two recent omens:

  1. Ikeri, the Sky Skimmer: The legendary beast of the Dust Sea has been sighted circling the border of the mutant wastes.
  2. The Fallen Star: A mysterious "sky ship" has crashed deep within the mountain peaks.

### The Race for Power

The barons have launched a frantic mobilization. The origin of the ship and the fate of its crew remain a mystery, but the objective is clear: whoever salvages the sky ship first and gains the technology will break the stalemate and rule the Drylands forever.
