Armin will cover the most common container formats used in the video industry.
The talk will introduce the basic ideas of container formats and how they are used for adaptive streaming.
Formats like MP4, MPEG-TS and Matroska will be introduced and compared.

Over-the-top (OTT) video delivery deployments for live streaming typically have a rather high end-to-end latency. Ongoing efforts in the media industry aim to optimize for lower latencies in order to match and outperform Broadcast TV's latency of a few seconds and enable use cases where low latency is critical. This talk will present concepts to achieve such low end-to-end latencies in OTT delivery.

Super-resolution is the process of up-scaling or improving the details within an image. Machine learning based super-resolution methods are becoming increasingly popular. This talk will provide a brief introduction to the topic. And then discuss how this method can be exploited to improve visual quality in a video encoding workflow.
