Footpaths and fluency: Salmannsdorf

We begin by getting to know each other a little and reviewing the plan for the afternoon. This plan is to walk on the paths between the cafe-restaurants Häuserl am Stoan, Grüass Di a Gott Wirt, Fischerhaus, and Gasthaus zum Agnesbrünnl. We'll make stops as needed to ensure you have opportunities to practise speaking to a group, as well as one-to-one as we walk.

I'll speak to you all in turn, making corrections to or suggestions for your English (grammar, vocabulary / lexis, and pronunciation). As a native speaker English teacher, I can also provide authentic idioms, and answer your grammar questions. I will prioritise the errors that can stop people understanding you. Conversation will be individual and in a group. It doesn't matter what level of English you have. The main thing is to try to say what you want to say. We'll talk about topics of interest to us all - don't be shy!

There will be a charge of 5 Euros per person at the end of the walk.

We''ll walk at an easy pace, making stops to allow lots of group conversation and to have a drink or snack - so bring something to eat or drink if you wish! The goal is to interact in English, helping you to learn English by using it for real communication.

We can visit the above cafe-restaurants if we wish, but bring something to drink in any case. Consider covering up e.g. with a long-sleeved shirt in case the sun is very strong; and have appropriate footwear. At the end of the afternoon, we'll briefly review the new English you heard or used.

If rain is highly likely then the event will be postponed to the following Sunday afternoon. This route is quite hilly, so we'll take it slow.
