Day walk: Hastings to Rye, or Circular
Details
Update: RESCHEDULED DUE TO WEATHER: the forecasts seem unsettled with some websites saying rain or even storms before noon. At about 50-70%, too risky for a coastal location.
Hope the days stay sunnier, and if so, time to see the sea on this historic coastal walk.
Join us in Hastings for a walk along seaside clifftops and a beautiful city. Depending on the time we start, we'll either do the full walk to Rye, or cut it shorter circling back to Hastings.
Further reference, it'll be similar to this: Walking club link
(I'll post a contact number the day before)
Meeting Point(s): London Bridge Rail Station
Meeting Time: 9:15am
Train: Leaves at 9:47am (non-stop)
Cost: With GroupSave or a Railcard it'll be around £25 off peak day return. Arrive earlier or leave comments so groups of 3+ can be arranged.
If we end up at Rye, we'll need to purchase a ticket back to Hastings.
What to bring:
- COMFORTABLE SHOES
- WATER, and snacks as you prefer
- LUNCH
- Warm clothes in case the weather turns
- Rain jacket (in case weather turns bad, hope not)
Lunch:
- For this one we'll picnic in an appropriate location to make the most of the time

If the weather does turn, we'll notify a cancellation the morning of the day before.
