In this performance, Martin Dieudonné presents a live meeting between artist and model, built on presence, trust, intimacy, and consent. Though separated by a large canvas with no physical contact, the artist paints through touch: caressing, holding, and tracing the model’s body with gesture and pigment, using his own body as a tool.

The canvas becomes a membrane where movement replaces direct skin-to-skin contact, transforming intimacy into image. By the end, the artist hopes the model will feel the touch through the painting itself, as if sensation has crossed the surface and settled into the body.
The act becomes a physical dialogue where movement, breath, and distance shape the image. Rooted in live sessions with gay and queer community members, the work builds a growing family of portraits that celebrate raw tenderness and vulnerability.
The model remains still yet fully present as witness, while the audience, as third party, observes how bodies can be discovered through rhythm, attention, and care. Through trust and surrender, these works hold intimacy as a shared, powerful force: a testament to vulnerability celebrated together.
The performance lasts approximately 40min. The public is invited to walk around and see it from different perspectives and witness the creation of the artwork.

In dieser Performance präsentiert Martin Dieudonné eine Live-Begegnung zwischen Künstler und Modell, die auf Präsenz, Vertrauen, Intimität und Einvernehmen basiert. Obwohl durch eine große Leinwand getrennt und ohne physischen Kontakt, malt der Künstler durch Berührung: Er streichelt, hält und zeichnet den Körper des Modells mit Gesten und Pigmenten nach und nutzt dabei seinen eigenen Körper als Werkzeug. Die Leinwand wird zu einer Membran, in der Bewegung den direkten Hautkontakt ersetzt und Intimität in ein Bild verwandelt. Am Ende hofft der Künstler, dass das Modell die Berührung durch das Gemälde selbst spürt – als hätte die Empfindung die Oberfläche durchquert und sich im Körper niedergelassen.
Der Akt wird zu einem physischen Dialog, in dem Bewegung, Atem und Distanz das Bild formen. Verwurzelt in Live-Sitzungen mit Mitgliedern der schwulen und queeren Community, entsteht eine wachsende Familie von Porträts, die rohe Zärtlichkeit und Verletzlichkeit zelebrieren.
Das Modell bleibt ruhig und zugleich vollkommen präsent als Zeuge, während das Publikum als dritte Instanz beobachtet, wie Körper durch Rhythmus, Aufmerksamkeit und Fürsorge entdeckt werden können. Durch Vertrauen und Hingabe bewahren diese Arbeiten Intimität als gemeinsame, kraftvolle Energie – ein Zeugnis gemeinsam gefeierter Verletzlichkeit.
Die Performance dauert etwa 40 Minuten. Das Publikum ist eingeladen, sich frei im Raum zu bewegen, verschiedene Perspektiven einzunehmen und die Entstehung des Kunstwerks mitzuerleben.
