Tubing on the James
Details
Join us as we camp and tube at James River State Park. I have been hosting this trip for many years, and it is always a great time. You will need to bring your own tube to float (any pool tube will do) and reserve your own campsite.
I have reserved a primitive site at the Canoe Landing Campground located within the James River State Park. The Canoe landing sites are located right on the river, so we will start our float right from my site and get out at Dixon Landing. We can figure out cars once we are there. We are usually able to make 2 runs on Sat and one on Sunday if you are up to it.
You can reserve your site at the following website. You must set up an account if you do not already have one. As I stated previously, I have reserved my site in Canoe Landing. If you reserve a site, please list your site number in the comments so we can find you, and also, comment if you would like to share your site.

If weather becomes an issue, I will make the call the Thursday before we leave, At that point you should be able to move/cancel your reservation. Please be sure to read the Va State Park Cancellation police when making reservations.

As always, you are responsible for you own safety. Floating and camping are inherently dangerous.
