Community Call for Men: Grief Support
December 8th at 8:00 pm EST | Hosted by Elysia Buss, transformative confidence coach & founder of Global Resources for Men
Grief affects many men across the nation in deeply personal and often overlooked ways, from the loss of loved ones to the end of relationships, job upheavals, unmet expectations, or unfulfilled dreams. These kinds of losses can lead to isolation, emotional numbness, difficulties expressing vulnerability, or problems connecting with others.
Join us for a gentle, open conversation designed to meet some of the most common challenges men face when grieving.
Objectives:
• Provide a safe and understanding environment where men can talk about grief without judgment.
• Acknowledge and name the varied forms of grief men experience today, including loss of loved ones, life transitions, breakdown of relationships, career disappointments, and unfulfilled hopes or goals.
• Explore why many men struggle to express grief openly and how avoiding or suppressing grief can affect mental and emotional health.
• Share practical strategies to process grief, including recognizing grief responses, building emotional awareness, and reclaiming a sense of grounding.
• Offer connection and community so no one has to navigate grief alone.
Outcomes:
• Greater awareness of how grief manifests in daily life and in less obvious ways.
• Increased comfort expressing feelings and talking about loss and change.
• Practical tools to handle grief responses in healthier and more sustainable ways.
• Stronger sense of connection with other men who understand similar struggles, reducing isolation and offering peer support.
• A renewed sense of hope that grief does not have to be faced in solitude.
You are welcome whether you have lost someone recently or are dealing with deeper and longer-standing losses. This call is open to any man looking for healing, community, and support.
Men can leave their video off, change their screen name and just make comments or ask questions in the chat if they want to be anonymous. It is meant to be a safe, non judgmental space. No shaming or antagonism is tolerated. People grieve in different ways.
