APPALACIAN TRAIL DAYS 2024 – HIKE, BIKE OR JUST HANGOUT

Trail Days is the biggest event of the year in Damascus and the world's largest celebration of the Appalachian Trail! This is a huge event and is more of a self-guided weekend. You are welcome to mix and match activities to suit your style and timeline.

Outside of Trail Days itself, we have 2 day hikes planned in the nearby area. Both locations are "bucket list" worthy!! Each day hike is posted as a stand-alone event here on Meetup - sign up for them separately…attendance at trail days is not required to participate in the day hikes.

DAY HIKES
Thursday: Day Hike: The Great Channels
6.2 miles @ 1309 ft gain
(45 min drive time to trailhead, north of Damascus)

Friday: Day Hike: Devil’s Bathtub
4.9 miles @ 590 ft gain
(1 hr 20 min drive time to trailhead, west of Damascus)

TRAIL DAYS PARADE
Saturday: HIKER PARADE in Damascus
• Parade start time is 2pm. Parade line-up is at 1:30pm by Sundog Outfitter. The parade ends at the Town Park.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS
Camp in "Tent City" in Damascus...OR alternate campsite, RV Park, Air B&B, rent a room....

• Stacy, Rachael and Michael have rented an Air B&B a short walk from town.
• Pam will be staying at an alternate location.
