4TH OF JULY backpacking trip: Cole Mountain, Tar Jacket Ridge, Spy Rock

We will enjoy the views of Cole Mountain, Tar Jacket Ridge and Spy Rock during our Trek. We will self-shuttle our vehicles for this trip.

THURSDAY:
Drive up Thursday and park at Appalachian Trail Mile 809.4 cross US 60 at Long Mountain Wayside AT Trailhead parking. (37.72361 N, 79.25094 W)
We will shuttle to VA Route 56 The Priest Wilderness Parking Area, Unnamed Road, Tyro, VA (22976 37.83841 N, 79.02329 W) (AT Mile Marker 834.8)
We will hike 4.8 miles on Thursday to The Priest Shelter.
830.4 AT mile marker The Priest Shelter Space for 6 in shelter, tent sites, spring and privy.
FRIDAY:
We will hike 6.6 miles to Seeley-Woodworth Shelter.
823.4 AT mile marker Seeley-Woodworth Shelter Space for 6 in shelter and tent sites, spring .10 from shelter, Privy.
SATURDAY:
We will hike 10.2 miles to (813.2) Cow Camp Gap Shelter - Space for 6 in shelter and tent sites, water and privy
SUNDAY:
Hike 3.8 miles back to our cars and shuttle to staged cars. Appalachian Trail Mile 809.4 cross US 60 at Long Mountain Wayside AT Trailhead parking. (37.72361 N, 79.25094 W)
