NGINX and IoT: Adding Protocol Awareness for MQTT

Details
• What we'll do:
MQTT has gained broad adoption for use in IoT solutions thanks to its combination of efficiency and simplicity. NGINX, while best-known as a high-performance web server and reverse proxy, can also apply its small footprint and hyper-scale capabilities to IoT solutions. In this talk, we illustrate how NGINX can be used as a MQTT gateway at the edge, or as a load balancer in front of an IoT platform. In particular, we look at advanced use cases such as authentication, TLS encryption, and protocol-aware extensions such as session persistence for MQTT connections.
