The Virtual World Society brings the world's leaders, innovators, and inventors in immersive technologies to AltspaceVR every other week. Hosted by the Virtual World Society's founders, Tom Furness and Chris Stapleton, along with other team members, these fireside chats are open discussions on the past, present, and future of the digital landscape.

Virtual World Society is a non-profit focused on integrating XR into the family, school, work, and outreach programs globally. Their research and innovative educational projects have built virtual schools in Africa, taught students to teach teachers how to use VR in the classroom, turned the lives of young women in the Appalachians from drugs and crime toward creative expression in VR, changed the lives of children through their imaginative VR projects with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and more.
