Starting Docs in a Startup: A First-in-the-Door Experience

Creating a brand new documentation system at a young company can be both exhilarating and overwhelming at the same time. In this talk, you'll hear how the first team of writers at a tech startup built a new documentation system from the ground up, including the excitement and challenges they experienced, the solutions they discovered and the lessons learned along the way.

OUR SPEAKER
Jonquil Williams is a technical writer with 18 years of experience. She has worked with CA Technologies, Extreme Networks, and Red Hat on a variety of software technologies. She has particular in-depth experience writing about on-premise and cloud-based enterprise network management solutions. Jonquil currently works at Replicated and helped start the documentation department. Replicated provides multi-premise distribution tools for 3rd-party applications to Kubernetes clusters.

For fun and profound joy, Jonquil plays guitar and sings. She is a big Todd Rundgren fan. Yeah, a bit of a would-be flower child. She has two beloved cats and a whole bunch of wonderful humans in her life.
