What we're about

Welcome to the Vistara Circle!

Our first Vistara Circle gathering was on the full moon of May in 2017. This was an auspicious occasion, because not only was it our inaugural event, it was also the birthday of Lord Buddha and other yogi icons. Since then, our meetings have been truly special and all because people like you took the time to join us. Thank you in advance for your presence and for coming to our collective meditation circles.

We currently meet once a week in Alexandria, VA on Thursdays and twice a month in Rockville, MD on Sundays. Very soon, we will be meeting every other Saturday in another location of Alexandria as well.

Though activities may vary in different locations, our gatherings mainly involve giving meditation instruction, a yoga class, kirtan (devotional chanting/singing), silent meditation, discussion and a potluck vegetarian meal. We also organize retreats, social outings, yoga trainings, courses, seminars, and webinars. The style of meditation and yoga that we practice is called, Tantra. Tantra is an ancient spiritual science where the goal is to merge one's being with Supreme Consciousness and find love and happiness from within.

We look forward to meeting you and helping to nurture your spiritual growth.
