Midday Hike at Dillon Falls

Join Ric Piece for a refreshing midday hike along the scenic Dillon Falls Trail, just outside of Bend! This relatively leisurely out-and-back hike starts at the Dillon Falls trailhead on Forest Service Road 600 (FS-600) and winds through a beautiful stretch of ponderosa pine forest along the Deschutes River.

Along the way, we’ll pass dramatic views of Dillon Falls, where the river crashes through a rocky canyon, creating a series of breathtaking cascades. It’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature, get in some movement, and enjoy good company.

Where: Dillon Falls Trailhead, FS Road 600, Bend, OR
Duration: Approx. 1 hour (optional extension if the group feels up for more!)

Optional Extension:
If the group is feeling energized, we’ll have the option to continue farther down the trail for a bit more exploration.

What to Bring:

• Water

• Comfortable hiking shoes or trail runners

• Layers (weather in Bend can change quickly!)

• Sunscreen and/or hat

• Snacks if you’d like a little midday fuel

Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.

There is a vault toilet at the trailhead, but no water source—come prepared.

This is a friendly, inclusive group and all experience levels are welcome!
