Strength in Motion: Yoga for Strength

Strength in Motion
Strength isn’t just about six-pack abs or how much you can press at the gym—it’s about moving with ease, resilience, and maybe even being able to flick off a light switch with your toes. 😉
In this class, we’ll explore strength through a yogic lens—blending mindful movement with unexpected elements like plyometrics, eccentrics, and myofascial release.
Together, these practices build tissue resilience, functional mobility, and the kind of deep strength that shows up in everyday life. Building strength in this way also helps calm the nervous system. When we challenge our tissues, the body releases endorphins and other feel-good chemicals that lower stress hormones. Then, as the parasympathetic nervous system (‘rest and digest’ mode) kicks in post-training, muscles and connective tissue shift into repair and recovery, leaving us more balanced, resilient, and grounded. Think of this as a yoga that lifts you up and grounds you down.
Bonus: when the parasympathetic system turns on after strength training, it also boosts digestion—so your body is primed to enjoy and actually absorb your dinner more fully. The perfect end-of-day practice!
Come ready to sweat, play, and discover that true strength is less about flexing and more about flowing.
