Round Hike on Vitosha: Boyana - Boyana Lake - Boyana Waterfall - Kopitoto

This hike will begin in the neighborhood of Boyana, which is located at the foot of Vitosha Mountain and is accessible by public transport and car.
From Boyana, we'll start from the Boyana church and then take the trail towards Boyana Lake. The trail is moderately steep, winding through forests and after approximately 30-45 minutes, we'll reach Boyana Lake, a small but picturesque body of water surrounded by greenery. This is a perfect spot to take a short break and enjoy the tranquil environment. After that we'll continue towards the Boyana Waterfall. The trail becomes a bit steeper and more rugged as we approach the waterfall. The Boyana Waterfall, one of the highest waterfalls in Vitosha, cascades down from a height of 25 meters.
After enjoying the waterfall, we'll head back slightly to find the junction that leads to Kopitoto and then return back to Boyana.The descent back to Boyana is more gradual, allowing to enjoy the surrounding nature without too much strain.
The entire hike takes approximately 4 hours, depending on the pace and the time spent at each point of interest.

Please note that due to heavy rains during the week, some of the trails may be muddy and/or slippery, so it is important to wear suitable hiking shoes and be careful when crossing slippery areas.
