This group seeks to bring together those interested in or currently living a compassionate vegan lifestyle for enjoyment and activities. Being Vegan is a journey in life and no two people travel it the same. So why not join and get to know a great group of people who are walking the same path. Northwest VEG generously pays for the meetup group fees, so you don't have to so be sure to support them as well! We also have a family group, Viva la Vegan - Family: http://vegan.meetup.com/492/

See all- Northwest VEG Westside Potluck and Plant-Based Meal Planning with Linda TylerWest Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (whuuf), Portland, OR
Northwest VEG is exited to have cooking instructor and cookbook author Linda Tyler presenting Plant-Based Meal Planning and Prep: Strategies for Simpler, Healthier Eating for our August program following our potluck.
Are you someone who makes weekly meal plans? Do you batch cook in advance—or wish you did? Whether you already prep meals or are just curious about how it could work for you, this session will give you fresh ideas and practical tools to make plant-based eating easier and more sustainable.
Linda will present the many benefits of meal planning and prep—from saving time and reducing stress to improving nutrition and cutting down on food waste. You’ll learn how different approaches to meal prep can fit different lifestyles, and why last-minute dinner decisions often lead to frustration (and takeout). We'll also tackle common challenges like getting started, staying motivated, and avoiding burnout.
Even if you’re not the primary cook in your household, you’ll leave with helpful ways to support the process and contribute to more organized, nourishing meals. Presenter Linda Tyler will share her own weekly prep habits, insights from her new ebook Cook Once, Eat Better, and simple strategies to help you build a plant-based routine that works for you.
Come to the potluck at 5:00, Linda’s presentation at 6:15, or both.
