This Sunday, former Northwest VEG President Peter Spendelow will be presenting a program about what animals think and feel. New research is helping overturn the views of past scientists that claims animals are ruled entirely by instinct, that fish do not feel pain or cannot remember past events, and that humans are the only species that can reason. Peter has a Doctorate in Zoology specializing in Evolutionary Ecology. Come at 5 for the potluck, at 6:15 for the presentation about animal consciousness, or both.
