Vocal explorations in sound and stillness • From soulful dance party to sound bath • By you for you

Every other Tuesday - This month, February 3rd and 17th
    • 7pm @ the
First Unitarian Society of Ithaca - intersection of Buffalo and Aurora St.

*Please arrive by or as close to our 7pm start as you can. For church security and creative container sake, the door to enter will be locked by 7:15 pm.

    For Newer Bloomers:

Vocal Bloom Tuesdays are bi-weekly (every other week) workshops for creative musical connection and play, and new participants are always welcome.
Feel free to check out this link to the Vocal Bloom Facebook page, reach out to @thevocalbloom on #thegram and/or respond here to this email with any questions.

    ### On 2/3, we'll learn a layer song, and then warm our creative container with some exercises that soften the perfectionism/preciousness around creativity, and step into some collaborative writing of a simple song - maybe something we can walk away with to brighten/ground the days to follow.

    ### On 2/17 we'll continue exploring games and exercises that empower us to co-create a brave and playful space, setting the scene for ever more self-surprising creativity! We'll review a few favorite exercises, perhaps try a new one or two, and then see how it feels to step into COmposing some Circle Songs.

Deep gratitude to FUSIT for holding space for so many of these events!

Facilitated by Tracy LJ Robertson [he/him]

Vocalist, educator, and vocal percussionist Tracy LJ Robertson enjoys working in a variety of musical settings. While studying at Berklee College of Music he performed in ensembles of global influence, from Balkan to contemporary Indian, to Latin, to western classical and jazz. He's since performed and recorded with a range of artists including Bobby McFerrin, Valerie Simpson, Justin Timberlake, Sabrina Carpenter, Andy Grammer, Michael Bublé and Billie Eilish. Meanwhile the acappella community has offered opportunity to tour and educate with groups like Pitch Slapped, Overboard, Vocalosity, m-pact, The Magnets, and The House Jacks. He is also supremely grateful to work and facilitate for organizations like the Urban Voices Project, Gaia Music Collective, and in more and more spaces where improvisation and music is explicitly supporting/instigating healing and empowerment. Tracy enjoys spreading his passion for life through music and ever deepening appreciation of mother nature.
