OPEN PLAY GENERAL RULES

1. NO NETS (VBFADES provides net systems)
2. NO PETS (they must stay leashed or tethered OUTSIDE the fence
3. NO BETS (play-for-cash games)

OPEN PLAY - LEVELS:

B - for novice and casual play
BB - for intermediate and casual play
A - for advanced and moderately competitive play
AA/Open - for bruising egos and adding gray hairs to the event coordinator's head

Please use your best judgement in joining the court appropriate for your desired playing level; all players who setup and start a court should have already agreed on it.

Please respect the equipment; the net systems are dated but durable and of high quality, so please follow the event coordinator's lead in proper setup and dismantling of them.

OPEN PLAY - MODES:

Doubles, Quads, Sixes - (level specific) men's or women's height. All courts are gender-blind, regardless of set net height, however we ask that if you are playing on a women's net, abide by "reverse co-ed" rules (males cannot attack or jump serve)

Wave Doubles - (level specific) For those looking to keep moving without committing to a team. A "winner's" side and "challenger's" side is designated. King/Queen of the court with one rally between teams.

Warm-Up Court - (non-level specific) an open court exclusively for either hitting lines or serve and serve-receive practice (we're looking at you, sky-ball servers). Since no official game format is played on warm-up courts, players may enter and leave as they please.

CAMPING (CHAIR and/or CANOPY) POLICY:

There is plenty of room for chairs and/or canopies, however you will be asked to move/remove your setups if obstructs a new net setup area or current playable area. Please be respectful of the game and camp a considerate distance from the nets if and when possible. There is NO CAMPING allowed outside of the fenced-in area.

As the State of New Jersey's social distancing restrictions become more lax, and outdoor events and activities slowly make their return, we wish to accommodate everyone as safe as humanly possible. That being said, please respect everyone's personal choices.

Because we are still recovering from the pandemic, the bathrooms located in the Magnolia Community Center will not be open to the public until September 2021. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
