From 2 to 4 PM we will have a High intermediate level meetup at the Cambridge Recreational Center in Cambridge. There will be one court, 12 spots available for this meetup.

High Intermediate: This game is for Yankee C and above level only. Players are required to know how to play a 6-2 and 5-1 formation. If you'd like to play, please do the following: 1. Send a direct message to Wing.

In the message, confirm that you know how to play in a 5-1 or 6-2 offense, and mention your preferred position (if any). Players will be added to the list to fill up positions. This game is intended for Yankee C/C+ and above players (or equivalent), and people who have not been no-shows at previous meetups. There is a strict cap to make sure everyone gets lots of playing time. Note that sending an email does not guarantee a spot to play; spots are only guaranteed if you receive a positive confirmation email.

The cost of the meetup will be $10 (Please bring cash or download the venmo app.) Please pay the organizer when you arrive before the meetup starts. The money goes to cover the cost of the court rental. The entrance to the gym is on Cambridge Street opposite Harvard Market. The nearest intersection to the entrance is Cambridge Street and Roberts Road. The nearest T stop is Harvard Square. The gym is about a ten minute walk from the T stop. Parking near the school on Sundays is generally easy to find, as meters and residential parking rules are generally not enforced on Sundays (parking signs should say "EX SUNDAY" or similar).

Intermediate level: Players with a good understanding of volleyball strategy and a good grasp of volleyball skills. Games require consistent bump, set, spike rallies. Therefore players should have good passing, setting and hitting skills. Players should be familiar with a 4-2 formation, however, preference will be given to players that are familiar with 5-1 or 6-2. Please let the organizer know which position(s) your prefer in your RSVP email. If you are not sure about your level or have any questions about this meetup please email the event host.

There is a strict cap to make sure everyone gets lots of playing time. This Meetup is intended for Intermediate/ High Intermediate level players with firm understanding of game strategy. You should have a good grasp of skills (passing, setting, hitting), and be able to move around to cover areas of the court. Play should consistently be bump-set-spike. (No Beginners or Recreational players).

This event is free if you are a member of JCC. If not, it's $15 fee per visit, payable at the front desk. JCC requires members to present their scan card or provide their names. Guests are required to present a photo ID to enter the building.

As always, please remember: Respect the RSVP system (Don't show up expecting to play without a confirmed RSVP) - If it looks like you won't be able to make it or will run late, please cancel your RSVP in time for someone else to join. Event day/last minute cancellations and no shows will jeopardize your participation in future events.

GROUP POLICY: Your spot is only guaranteed until 7:05 PM. If you are not at the gym by that time, we reserve the right to give your spot away to someone else.
