### 💡 Community Involvement
Important! When new members join, we ask:
> “Would you like to be involved in the organization of the events?”
Being involved means being part of the Volleyball Rotterdam community — not just showing up to play, but helping keep the sessions safe, organized, and enjoyable for everyone.
This includes:
- Arriving on time and being ready to play when the session starts
- Coming to each training or game session with a personal goal (e.g., improving your serve, communication, or consistency)
- Giving your best effort and focus when the trainer leads a drill
- Helping to set up and tidy up the nets and equipment
- Ensuring that the court and environment remain safe (no dangerous situations)
- Taking care of shared materials (balls, antennas, nets)
- Reporting any damage or issues directly to the event organizers
- Supporting the friendly and respectful atmosphere we maintain on and off the court
In short, being involved means being part of a team on and beyond the court 🏐✨

The Smashing Expats training & games
Gymzaal Bloemhof, Putseplein 20 ,, Rotterdam, NLHi everyone* 🏐
We are excited to welcome you to our next Smashing Expats training session. This session will focus on a specific offensive game-like situation: serve-receive transition into a quick attack option. In real play, a good serve receive is only the start — players must also position themselves effectively after the pass to become a viable attacking option and support a quick offensive transition.
We will work on how to receive the serve cleanly, move to an optimal position, and prepare for a quick set or attack decision. This includes adjusting feet, reading the setter, and timing your approach for a first-tempo play. VolleyDrills
As always, the session balances focused technical work with game play in a fun and social environment.
