We combine a musical open mic with a song circle.
Your open mic can be electric or acoustic, band or solo. Standard recipe otherwise.
Before and after, the open mic, we do a song circle. This is a space for anyone to enjoy playing songs together. We go round the circle, picking one song each. Others can join in as much as you like. It brings none of the pressure of performing at an open mic or stepping up to a jam. Instead it's a close, supportive environment. Everyone is encouraged to try what they enjoy.
We welcome all styles, genres and languages. It just has to be a 'song'. (Spoken word and rapping over music is fine. A twelve-minute guitar solo is not.)
Do you have to bring a song? No! We have a few songsheets printed out. You're also free to skip your turns if you don't feel like playing.
We start around 7.30pm. But feel free to swing by for a song or two at any time.
Entry requirements: 16+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
