Many people have told me that they would like the adventure of travelling the world and volunteering, but they don't know where to start and they are nervous to do it alone. This group can help you find both a new adventure and a volunteer partner. If you truly prefer volunteering solo that great, too! Many people think that travelling and volunteering are more rewarding when you share the experience with other volunteers. This is not a dating group or a voluntourism group. This is a group about sharing experiences, finding opportunities and meeting like-minded people, possibly leading to a new volunteer partner and friend.
My name is Colin. II have a passion for international travel and volunteering. I have 15 years experience in 14 different countries. I love traveling to different countries to contribute to local communities and experience new cultures firsthand. I have lots of information to share. I’d love to meet others who are interested in travel, volunteering, and seeing the world through a different lens! I usually spend about 3 months a year in a different country. I volunteer part time and explore the other time. Sometimes the organizations I volunteer with offer a free an apartment and other benefits, including money. Yes, being paid to volunteer is a real thing. Ask about my time on Greek Islands (I may return), having Dalai Lama as a neighbour in Northern India, living in Stone Town, Zanzibar or learning about horse meat in Uzbekistan. I’d like to find like minded people who are ready for an adventure.
