Golda's Roses

Details
We're excited to announce that VBC has officially adopted Golda Harris Park! You are invited for another round of wild rose removal followed by an adoption party at Mother Earth Brewery. Our group is a good fit for anyone looking to connect with like-minded individuals who enjoy giving back to our earth and also for anyone who just loves to pull invasive prickly plants out of the ground (it can be a great stress reliever). We recommend that you wear close-toed shoes/boots, long sleeve shirts and bring leather gloves. We will supply all other tools.
Working with City Parks and Recreation, our hope is to begin planting native plants in the near future.
Gold Harris Park is one of the "Ribbon of Jewels" along the Boise River established to commemorate prominent women of Boise. It is made up of approximately 3 acres and includes natural pathways, seating, interpretive signage and wildlife viewing areas.
