Golda Harris Fall Cleanup
Details
The VBC has officially adopted Golda Harris Park - and it needs your help working with City Parks and Recreation to clear weeds and blackberry bushes from the pathways to keep it accessible to everyone, as well as put in some Native plantings. Afterward we’ll head back over to Sid’s for a beverage and/or lunch together if you can stay.
Our group is a good fit for anyone looking to connect with like-minded individuals who enjoy giving back to our earth and also for anyone who just loves to pull invasive prickly plants out of the ground (it can be a great stress reliever). We recommend that you wear close-toed shoes/boots, long sleeve shirts and bring leather gloves. We will supply all other tools.
Gold Harris Park is one of the "Ribbon of Jewels" along the Boise River established to commemorate prominent women of Boise. It is made up of approximately 3 acres and includes natural pathways, seating, interpretive signage and wildlife viewing areas.
