We’re thrilled to announce the "War on Roses" part 5 at our beloved Boise River park! Come join us on May 16th from 10 AM to 12 PM for a morning of fresh air and community connections. We'll be focused on our favorite stress reduction technique: wild rose removal. Alyssa from City Parks and Recreation will be there to share her insights and make the experience even more enriching. Once the work is done, stick around for a beer or two at Mother Earth Brewery!

Our group is a good fit for anyone looking to connect with like-minded individuals who enjoy giving back to our earth and also for anyone who just loves to pull invasive prickly plants out of the ground. We recommend that you wear close-toed shoes/boots, long sleeve shirts and bring leather gloves. We will supply all other tools.

Seriously, you want leather gloves when handling wild roses. Their prickles will go right through rubber and cloth.

Note the meeting place below is in the parking lot of Sid's Garage off of Park Center Drive. Please arrive as close to 9:45am as you are able.

Gold Harris Park is one of the "Ribbon of Jewels" along the Boise River established to commemorate prominent women of Boise. It is made up of approximately 3 acres and includes natural pathways, seating, interpretive signage and wildlife viewing areas.
