Having "Flip 'em yourself" pancakes at the historic Olde Sugar Mill is a long-standing Volusia County tradition for many. Each table has its own griddle!

To join in on the pancake fun and a lively breakfast arrive at the De Leon Springs Park gate at 8 am SHARP as sometimes the restaurant fills up fast. We combine this meal with a kayak excursion on Spring Garden Creek which originates right at the park.

After breakfast we will migrate a very short distance to the DeLeon Springs boat launch across from the Sugar Mill at 9:15 am for a 3 hour paddle. Kayaks, canoes and paddleboards are welcome. PFD's must be worn.
This event is for intermediate to advanced paddlers.

BOTH THE PARK AND THE SUGARMILL OPEN AT 8.

If you plan on having breakfast before the paddle, arrive at the gatehouse at 8, pay park admission, then go directly to the Sugar Mill (restaurant).

There is a four-dollar fee per person or 6 dollars per car to enter the state park.
Members may bring a guest.

ALL WHO PLAN ON ATTENDING THE SIERRA PADDLING EVENT ON THE CREEK MUST REGISTER online with the Sierra Club and sign a Sierra Club waiver form.
