Building and Using Virtual Reality in Education

This presentation, led by Tony Butterfield, demonstrates an online virtual museum that teaches about NASA’s Artemis Mission. It has been over 50 years since mankind has walked on the Moon. NASA’s Artemis Mission is dedicated to return man to the Moon and set up a Moon Base.
The museum is experienced in virtual reality on the social VR platform called Altspace. In Altspace visitors can experience many worlds including the Moon Museum. Inside the Moon Museum visitors can learn about the powerful rocket that will lift off to the Moon and the Capsule that will carry future astronauts.
Recently the first Moon mission, Artemis 1, has been completed.
This online museum is a great example of education in VR. Come join and visit the Moon Museum.
Our purpose is: To connect educators, developers and others in this space to create effective ways of developing and implementing VR in educational spaces.
