Speakers:
Dave Braig - Senior Product Manager:
Dave helps shape the product roadmap for Cesium’s AEC and Data teams while helping advance 3D geospatial for simulations and digital twins in industrial solutions. With over two decades of experience in the design and development of geospatial solutions, he has seen firsthand the value of democratizing geospatial data to unlock and revolutionize industries. Dave has broad experience in leading teams of geospatial professionals and developers in crafting geospatial data and applications. Dave is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and certified Geospatial Professional (GISP), and he holds a degree in Geography and GIS from Penn State University.
Cory Barr - Senior Software Engineer:
Cory has a background in runtime 3D engines and digital twins for construction . An engineer and designer, he’s created digital twins to help cities, museums, and other clients visualize and collaboratively design AECO projects. These tools range from VR-based visualization for design review, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach to photorealistic interactive renders. Cory studied computer science at Cal State Los Angeles and earned a master’s degree in artificial intelligence from Stanford University. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he’s worked with several cities, general contractors, and building developers in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and elsewhere. In addition, he’s an adjunct professor with California College of the Arts, where teaches programming as a design tool to artists, designers, and architects.
Ben Jewett - Sales Engineer:
Ben has spent most of his career delivering enterprise level virtual and augmented reality experiences to clients in the medical, manufacturing and construction fields. At Cesium he develops and architects XR applications and prototypes, bringing Cesium’s geospatial solutions into new realities. With a diverse background in eLearning and simulation he created several “Magic School Bus” type VR experiences prior to working at Cesium. Before writing code for a living, he was a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching 3D graphics, interactive software, and English at The National University of Computer Science in Madagascar. He holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Multimedia from the University of the Arts with a background in game design.
