Bolton Film Festival: VR & 360 + Q&A Event

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you can't make it for 4pm, that's fine – come join us for the Q&As later on!

Join us on a special field trip to the Bolton Film festival to sample their VR & 360 selections, before hearing from some of the talented people behind the works!

Bolton is less than 20 mins from Manchester by train, so we hope you'll all take the short hop to see us (as well as the films!).

Schedule

  • 4:00pm – Optional Viewing: Meet the VR Manchester team in the Unit Base Gallery, to view some of the entries
  • 5:20pm – Q&A Session 1: Join us in the Light Cinema for a Q&A event with Katie Greyson, Emmy nominated producer of Asif Kapadia's "Laika" (more details below)
  • 6:20pm – Break
  • 6:40pm – Q&A Session 2: Back in the Light Cinema we’ll have our second Q&A with Kirsty Jennings, Executive Producer at Anagram and part of the team that brought the award-winning “Goliath: Playing with Reality” to life.
  • 7:40pm – End: We’ll retire to The Vaults Bar for drinks and chat.

For those who can't make the Thursday trip please note the Unit Base Gallery is open 11:00am - 6pm each day during the festival dates (Wed 5th - Sun 9th October), with FREE access to all the VR/360/AR projects.

Katie Greyson - Emmy Nominated Producer/EP - XR/Immersive/Animation/Game

Katie Greyson has produced immersive and experiential campaigns for international clients like Jaguar, Land Rover, Toyota and adidas. She has worked across film, advertising, animation, games, and realtime/immersive technologies. Katie is Head of Experience of Passion Pictures where she has recently produced Asif Kapadia's "Laika".
