We've got two presentations lined up for March 14th. I've brought a friend (and SharePoint MVP) over from Vancouver. However, we need to get him home on the last flight out of Victoria so we are going to start this one earlier.

Yaroslav Pentsarskyy, SharePoint MVP from Vancouver will be presenting "0 to 60: Building apps for SharePoint 2013 to sell on Office marketplace".
New marketplace is a great opportunity for developers to get rapid exposure on a growing platform. SharePoint 2013 introduces a new app model that brings the best of web development to SharePoint. This session will use a series of demos to walk through the developer getting started experience for apps for SharePoint and will highlight development tools such as Napa and Visual Studio. Whether you're a .NET developer or a SharePoint developer come learn how to build apps for SharePoint and submit them to Office marketplace.
Yaroslav has been involved in SharePoint solution architecture and implementation since 2003 as well as a Microsoft MVP since 2009. Yaroslav frequently presents at local and worldwide tech events as well as online. He is an avid blogger and writer. Join Gerry Brimacombe as he tells stories, presents client projects, and leads a practical discussion on SharePoint's ability to help organizations “go paperless”. In the spirit of the Victoria SharePoint Users Group, let’s learn from each other!
Gerry Brimacombe has a B.A. in Computer Science and a Graduate Certification in Project Management. He has worked as programmer, systems analyst, business analyst, project manager, program manager, and board member and now applies that experience to developing courses and SharePoint sites for Sector Learning Solutions clients. In this 45 minute talk, Gerry will present and discuss some of the simple tools Sector uses to quickly capture client needs, and translate them into happy clients with happy SharePoint sites and happy users.
