Bash Crash: A crash course in bash scripting

Details
The bash shell is a very handy tool for Software Developers DevOps, Security geeks and anyone who wants to learn about the true power of your operating system.
Registration is required, and anonymous registration will not be allowed. Recruiting at this event is not allowed. Pizza and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.
We will focus on the Linux bash shell, since it is well developed, although much of what we will learn will work in MacOS and Windows *NIX-compatible consoles/shells (although not as well, but it will come close enough most of the time).
We'll review the basics, talk about counting in different bases, and then get into some fun signal handling, socket I/O, and some other geeky networking things available in the shell. We're also going to install, run and review a game written in bash.
If you are new to this, you are encouraged to come. You'll have scripts to take home and learn at your own pace. Even sitting in the room and hearing the terminology and watching will benefit you, so please attend! This is for new and seasoned geeks alike.
Please bring a laptop if you have one.
